이야~ 형님들, 요즘 ‘발산 마사지 이벤트’ 때문에 정신 없으시죠? 저도 뭐, 먹고살려면 이런저런 정보 다 캐내야 하는 팔자라… ^^ 근데 말입니다, 오늘 좀 ‘쫠깃한’ 이야기를 해볼까 합니다. 컬트 영화의 정수, ‘파이트 클럽’ 말이에요. 다들 타일러 더든 나오기 전에 찰나에 스쳐 지나가는 ‘그 장면’들 아시잖아요? 그거 그냥 막 넣은 거 아니라고요. 🧐
감독이 ‘진짜’ 숨기고 싶었던 3가지 장면?
제가 말이죠, 예전에 편집실에서 밤새워 작업할 때, ‘파이트 클럽’ 초기 편집본을 잠깐 볼 기회가 있었어요. 그때 감독님이 ‘이건 절대 최종본에 안 돼!’ 하면서 잘라낸 장면들이 있었는데, 진짜… 아찔했습니다. 😅 보통 우리가 아는 ‘그 찰나의 삽입 장면’들 말고, 더 깊숙한 곳에 숨겨진 것들이 있었어요.
그중 하나는… 솔직히 이건 말하면 안 될 것 같은데… ^^;; 타일러 더든이 처음 등장하기 직전에, 주인공이 겪는 극심한 불면증의 ‘시각적 표현’이 훨씬 더 적나라하게 나왔던 장면이었어요. 아마 ‘sleeper agent’ 같은 느낌을 더 강조하려 했던 것 같은데, 관객들이 너무 불편해할까 봐 뺐겠죠? 🤷♂️ (혹시 ‘발산 마사지 이벤트’처럼 뭔가 불편하지만 묘하게 끌리는 경험, 그런 거 생각나지 않으세요? ^^)
